DIY To-Do List

I feel like I'm nesting all over again. I don't know what has gotten into me but I'm on a home decorating kick. I started turning this empty house into a home months into pregnancy, but somewhere in the mix of it all I stopped. I think a big contributor of the desire to pick up where I left off is my friend WeeNo Photography's post which you can find here - they are a super crafty photographer couple in Portland and I constantly see Instagram updates of their new projects. I also think it's from photographing my friend Stephanie's house the other day too.... (you can find that post here). Regardless of where the desire came from, I'm excited to start posting all the progress I make! Here are a few projects I plan on doing:

Make your own milk glass. I never understood the love for milk glass until I saw a collection of it at my friend's house. I would love to put a collection of it on one of our cubed Ikea shelves. I've been looking for some but can't find it so it's time to get down and dirty and DIY!

My parents got me an Instax camera for my birthday and I've been trying to figure out a cool way to display all the photos I've bee taking. This is an awesome I idea I forgot I pinned a long time ago. It's yet another way to bring who we are into our home.

We have been searching for a giant mirror to go over our fireplace but anything that fits our size is wayyy out of our price range. Ethan took the large mirror out of one of our guest bathrooms and now it sits above our fireplace....buuuuut it looks too much like a bathroom mirror. I've been wanting to frame it but haven't gotten around to it.

I just bought this INCREDIBLE wooden, antique filing cabinet that happens to be the perfect size for a bench. All I need is a bench cushion, and the most inexpensive way to get one would be to make it myself. I plan on following this tutorial, making this another project on my to-do list.
